Stayed up super late last night hammering out Max Payne 3. I don't know if you guys know this, but that game is really good. Rockstar seems to be really good a putting together crime drama games. I went against Jakanden's suggestion and played through the entire game on normal. I feel the game did get pretty difficult, but it was manageable, and I feel works better on PC. I had to learn to use bullet time constantly in order to shoot my way out of a lot of gunfights, especially towards the end where I was praying the kills would keep my meter up.

Yeah I think PC would work better than a 360 controller. When I eventually play it again on PC, I will do Normal but on a controller - fuck that.

My Brother My Brother and Me podcast helped distract me/keep me sane while I ran over 72,000 zombies in a humvee on Dead Rising 2. It took several hours.

Finished up Quantum Conundrum (Buy it!) and picked up Penny Arcade Episode 3 which is easily the best one so far.

I started a new character in Skyrim. I'm playing a Lizard Wizard as opposed to a heavy tank which is interesting since now I can actually take damage. I'm striving to do stuff this go around that I never even touched with my first play. I hear there's some sort of war going on in Skyrim, I might try checking that out this go around.

I also started Just Cause 2 thanks to my new Playstation Plus subscription. If the rest of this game is as fun as the first hour, it's going to be quite a treat.

Nice, i also started a Lizard Wizard on Skyrim a few weeks ago but then i remembered i was playing FFX and didn't want to play more than 1 RPG at a time.

Been mopping up easy but boring achievements (72,000 kills, kills with all weapons, make all combo weapons etc) on Dead Rising 2 while catching up on the backlog of podcasts i'm still working on since WILFest 2 and doing a job i can't listen to podcasts all day in since.

Been playing a cool game on android called Rebuild. Apparently an adaptation of a flash game, it's a sim where you have to manage scouting new areas, clearing out zombies, building farms and housing, rescuing survivors and expanding your safe settlement while leaving enogh defenses at base camp to withstand the constant zombie onslaught. Pretty good fun, an average setting game has took a couple of hours to beat. It was only £0.62 on the rubbishly named Google Play store and kotaku gave it a good review so i figured why not.

Oh and i've been helping my friends build and wire a colliseum in minecraft 360 edition. because minecraft. Also a massive Mega Man sprite art greets at my town entrance now :)

Started up Xenoblade Chronicles. It's neat but it took me a few hours to realize I'm supposed to be pressing the b button when starting a fight (I had been hitting the a button again because the Xbox controller's names are ingrained in memory). Didn't care for something that happened in the story, but at least that means I'm engaged in the plot and characters.

Nearing the end of my 2nd playthrough of Deadly Premonition. I'm getting a lot more out of the story this time since 1) I've seen Twin Peaks since I first played the game and see the things they lifted, and 2) like any mystery it is fun to see the clues and things you missed now that you know the story. Everyone knows how shit the mechanics are in this game, but using the Unbreakable Wrench on Easy has made the combat sections more bearable. Every normal apparition that I bother to fight is dead in one or two hits.

Still playing runs of The Binding of Isaac. Almost unlocked everything from the original game (2 items left), and have some DLC challenges and goals to do as well.

Playing through Walking Dead: Episode 2 and Spec Ops: The Line. I was planning on checking out Just Cause 2 until my PS3 shat the bed so now I have to go buy a new one. I am not in any hurry though since I have a non-PS3 backlog to get through but I will definitely need to pick another one up.

My lizard wizard started her epic walk to the college of winterhold. Quite a long way to walk so she slayed a dragon and got lydia to accompany her.

Started Deus Ex Human Revolution (360) AKA Robocop, at least for the first half hour. Really enjoying it, definitely will play more. Fucked up the first mission though, followed the markers so despite never being seen in the whole mission, I also never saw the hostages. Oops.

Yeah it seems unless something is specifically a named side mission objective, the game doesnt tell you where it is, you have to pay attention to dialogue and remember it. Like the swat guy saying where the hostages likely were, I forgot and just assumed i'd get a hint or reminder later. I didn't and they all died in an explosion, apparently.

Got to China last night so i'm taking a break there while I have a busy work weekend.
Loving the game so far, playing a hacking stealth build. in Detroit I ghosted the majority of stuff, including all the main missions and so far haven't killed a single person. Using the tranq rifle and stun gun and melee takedowns where you break a guy's arm mostly. Ouch. Have a 10mm pistol w silencer, laser sight and armour piercing for when I inevitably say fuck non lethal and start popping guys.

Struggled on the boss fight till I realised grenades make great distractions, even frags as they stunned the guy then I invisibled and ran to a different position then shot red barrels as he passed and repeated. Was fun when he didn't know where I was.
Anyway, ive gone on too long will post future stuff in the appropriate review thread. Sorry!

I was trying to be all non lethal but I accidentally killed a guy at some point.

The cloaking skill is so game breaking, especially when combined with the silent running ability. You can basically just go invisible and sprint through areas with regard for anything.

The non lethal thing actually includes the intro level as well. Yeah, that's a pain.
