Well if anyone wants to be listening to Killing In The Name by Rage Against The Machine, here in th UK is a quest to make it xmas number one in the pop charts. it's currently winning. will be buying extra copies on iTunes for gifting at random to help the cause, if anyone wants on, as it needs to be bought by a UK account for it to count towards stopping the shitty X-Factor rubbish being number one :) so hit me your email if you want a free mp3, go on its free and for a good cause :p

I'll add that I've been listening to the band Earth and Fire, no not Earth Wind and Fire, Earth and Fire, a Dutch progressive rock band circa the 1970s.
Here is a song called Atlantis:

I've also been listening to Bound Together a ton because it is pure awesome.

That is a pant load of win right there, Deep Purple is one of my favorite bands. Have you ever listened to Rainbow? It is Ritchie Blackmore's band after he left Deep Purple. I only like Rainbow with Dio though.

myself and stinger came up with the ultimate gig in the pub a while back, good luck trying to follow this...

i recall it went something like Zakk Wilde coming on with his solo band, then the rest of the Ozzy solo band joining him, then them going off stage leaving Ozzy to be joined by Black Sabbath's original Line-up followed by Ozzy walking off stage and Dio coming on, then after the heaven and hell stuff the rest of sabbath walking off and Dio's solo band coming on, then Dio's solo band going off and the rest of rainbow coming on, then Dio going off and Richie Blackmore coming on. Then after Rainbow with Richie, Richie staying on stage and the rest of Deep Purple coming on stage. Then Richie could stay on stage to do his new Medieval Minstral stuff with his new band for a big finale. What a gig that's be.

Holy shit, that's ridiculous. I think the ultimate gig would be King Crimson with the Greg Lake line up, John Wetton line up,then the Belew line up, then the double trio, and then the original U.K. line up finishes.

Anyways, I'm listening to Tony Williams Lifetime with Allan Holdsworth, Alan Pasqua, Tony Newton, and Tony Williams and also Galaxy Man by Arm Cannon.

The Gaslight Anthem-'59 Sound
-I'm not sure why, but I really, really, really like this album, especially the first five tracks.

The new Vampire Weekend album "Contra" is out and pretty good, if anyone is into that. Unfortunately there are no references to Red Falcon or the Spread.

It just so happens, Bobby, that I am! Just discovered this band the other day thanks to iTunes Genius. Really like "M79."

Other bands I've been into lately include The Fratellis, The Hush Sound, and various other singles from indie-ish bands like these.
