Sorry about the short notice, yes. I knew I had the night free before picking up Mackey so I wanted to give it a test before organizing one to have it not work.

And it was a success! We, successfully made it to the end of Mortal Kombat with no problems. It was a good choice of flick, I do say so myself. Something not mediocre but certainly fun to poke at, and one we all knew. We learned with The Call of Cthulhu after it that good movies, even silent ones, do not provoke conversation. We also had I believe 6 or 7 people with no audio problems.

Fun times were had by all present. We REALLY need to do this again.

On a side-note, the X-Strike crew could all get in on this, with a simple 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable. Connect Soundboard to WIRED Xbox 360 controller, set Xbox Live voice to come through the TV instead of headset, and BOOM! X-Strike MST3K on Xbox Live Party.

i guess if i know in advance next time i can get the movie and hit play at the same time and just be in the xbox live party. thats what we did for dead snow

To note, the idea was to do a communal thing, not just to sit down and make fun of movies for a podcast or video. I still want to do it as a forums/fans activity, and for now at least that means no recording. Not ruling anything out in the future of course.

Throwing out a suggestion for next time:

The Octagon - classic Chuck Norris film. If picked, I'm already putting in place a 'no those Chuck Norris jokes' rule. Or you better be DAMN clever.
