See I watched that video, and some extra bits on 1up earlier, and thought it reinforced my negative feelings towards the project. Not specifically the team, but also Inafune telling them to "c'mon, come back with something that makes us mad." As well as him not thinking Dante's design is still cool, this "underground" influence that, well, might be underground in Japan but is everywhere you look here, and I don't know anyone that would describe this new look as hip, or more hip than the last.

Don't get me wrong, everything the real life new Dante was saying made me fucking cringe. The whole underground fashion shit, whatever. I was talking more about the senior producer Alex Jones. He's clearly a fan who respects the series, and I can tell that he understands what will make a good DMC title as far as the gameplay goes. The game is still a long ways away, but hopefully it gets steered in the right direction up to release.

Personally I don't see what all the uproar about the whole dante thing is all about, but then I have zero connection to the character from a series of games i've never played, so I couldn't possibly comment on the matter eh?

You know, I actually don't care what they do to Dante. They can slap a new coat of paint on him, repackage him, whatever.

But if you're essentially overhauling the whole game to make an entirely new game.... why not just make a new IP to begin with?
Plus that likeness to himself is ridiculous.

But hey, if it's awesome and makes a shitload of money, then I'm wrong.
