Hobgoblin is pretty good. Not my favorite of theirs by far, but it's a nice sippin' beer.

Would you buy a 6-pack of it for $10 though.

Yes. In Jersey that's about what I paid for them. Actually, on base I think they were $3 a pop, but I maybe remembering that slightly off.

Hobgoblin is good, and so is Scarecrow (made by the same people). Seems like a fair price for it.

$10 for a 6-pack seems about right for a craft/import beer. It's hard to find good beer for less than that. Or any beer that isn't Bud/Miller/Coors/etc. for that matter. Trader Joe's seems to be the only place where you can find pretty good beer on the cheap.

So a coworker from NYC took the last 3 weeks off, went home for awhile and then hung out with his girl in Philly for the last week or two. He texts me, asking for a few beers that I recommend, and I told him in that area Troegs should be easy to get, try the Java Head.

The dude brought me back an entire case of it.

Nice. But cases are the only way they sell beer in PA, so he had to buy it that way. He didn't have to give it all to you, though, so that's cool.

Yeah, it's been so long since I bought beer in PA I had forgotten all about that rule.
Glaring exception to rule: You can buy six packs at restaurants with special licenses. Examples: Sub shops and Mom & Pop Pizza Parlors.
