I just called in sick from con plague, and I'm going to spend this time sharing my magfest highlights.

-Shayla surprise :D
-Emi's reaction to the mystic sculpt, her face completely justified all of th etedious hours spent on him, l hope to sculpt more just to see more reactions like that!
-introducing carmel to the gang
-finding a picture of the giant gummy bear l have completely forgotten about while at work, and showing it to carmel who had also forgotten about it
-2 hour debate about the best redshirt death while a dozen magfest guests made duct tape clothing behind us
-the absurd increase of hot nerds at the con with strange names, and great senses of humor
-meeting autovino for the first time 4 times
-katie's sonic screwdriver shot, and the marvelous hoodies she made me and my sister!
-selling my last companion cube to someone who critcized my craftsmanship and the 25 dollar price tag the year before, at 30 bucks
-off-campus and improv
-presenting Dom with a sandwich late sunday afternoon, and being received like a saint
Fuck you ponytail!

You know, I recall wondering at the time just how impromptu that duct-tape costume Tekken group was Saturday night. Now I know.

Emphasized unintentional pun for Darrin's benefit.

In order to avoid MAGlaria (copyright Brett, 2011) I recommend getting an intense 2 to 3 day fever one week before the con in order to build up the antibodies. Sure it's a harsh way of doing things, but it makes the days after the con so much better.

I give full MAGlaria credit to Darrin.

Magic Water! It saved me from NYC subway germs and MAGlaria. Worth every one of the 78 cents I invested in it!

Apparently I lucked out with a small chest cold and a lost voice (which I found, apparently in my apartment). Still though, I'm looking forward to to hanging out with everyone again soon. Guess there's always AMA.

Ugh. What a mess. I mean...hey! I had a great time! ^_^

-learning a lot from running Iron Chef and NOT getting the Japanese guy ta judge in the future (poor Kikuta-San!)
-learning to take care of parking and making signs with a better memory next year and not leave them
-singing Disney songs and whatever else came to mind
-The OneUps show...gawd I can't get enough of that Metroid
-hanging out with Alex Brandon and Kunal, it was like I was sitting on a ship of awesome-cute-professionals...even tho I had little to contribute to the conversation and still had a good time
-not really working most of the con, not that I ever actually STOP working, but that there were few fires for me to put out
-my date with Dom (sushi and sake)
-the whole auction too which was such a success! that was great
-having Wood there instead of my camera, which I did bring but forgot to use
-Dave's first Mag and I'm glad he had fun
-seeing Black Chad and knowing what an awesome wife he has
-being confused to see Shayla, but playing it off cause I thought for some reason that I had misheard someone at some point telling me that she wouldn't make it, and overall glad she could, although I only saw her enough to give her a hug
-finally saying Mrs. Ekkebus to Lauren
-metting Ailshawn's brother Nick, what a cute and talented kid.
-match game, the improv, adventures of the MAGcrew, Iron Chef, basically just seeing Jon St. John, Off-Campus
-taping Brett whopping Derek at Blades of Steel, again, wasted (well, I wasn't but they were. I was tired enough to be confused for being wasted)
-seeing everyone who I had missed so much. Seriously, that's what I'm going to remember...well, that and all the issues that we had this year that we won't repeat next year. I NEED to remember those tho. Hopefully, I also won't cry at closing ceremonies again. My anxiety is still so high...I hate this feeling.

We're already talking about next year's guests possibilities, promotions (that we're not going to do), and what our theme should be. We're pretty sure about the hotel that we're going to get, and I've been trying to talk others into being happy about it, but I don't wanna say anything until we've signed the contract and it's set in stone. Bah, you'll know when I know.

I agree with Rory about the end of an era. A lot of stuff is changing. I hope to keep the small con feel even as we get bigger, but it's so hard as all these new ppl expect so much. We're a damn party people, NOT the real cons and conferences that you've been to...but we've gotta Spoon Up and make shit happen. It's just so big now...this is what I didn't want...oh well. I hate those corny-tacky-bullshit-sayings but, innovate or die. I guess.

Depression really has set in it seems, including everything else that's going on. I hope PAX East goes well and I can go. That'll help with a bit of revival on my end. Bah!

Missing MAGFest pretty hardcore, but editing for VGCB helps me cope.

-laughed my ass off during live commentary of Silent Horror
-laughed my ass off during Video Game Improv
-laughed my ass off during showing of Off Campus. (seriously all we did afterward was quote lines from the show. "I'm gonna get drunk, and take a shit!")
-Seeing Wes Johnson the voice of the Imperial Guard, Lucien LeChance and Sheogoroth from Oblivion.
-Steve Smith giving his talk on being a good DM in tabletop RPGs.
-Kick ASS concerts: Arm Cannon, Rare Candy, The One Ups, Metroid Metal and year 200X
-The Megas had an awesome show, teaming up with Brentalfloss for "Gotta Run/Be the One" and Entertainment System for "Evolution of Circuitry"
-This Place is Haunted rocked HARD. Their Halo 3 song was epic. Their TV medley even more so, I'm still reeling from it. (READING RAINBOW!) Their covers of Chrono Trigger and Rocky were really awesome too. I think they really came out of nowhere and hit it hard this year.

Gonna support MAGFest and pay for the supporter's badge this year. Can't wait for it. bLiNd, my favorite remixer from OCRemix says he's going to be there.

I got some post magfest cheer up!

I had this weird double take with this strange person who looked a lot like Brenden at Ohayocon. I mentioned it to Rory and Steve and then I got to spend my saturday with Mr. Magfest himself! It was pretty cool!
