My grandmother's Welsh, a great-grandmother was Irish, and my mother's entire side is Scotch-Irish, so I'm pretty much required to hate you.
Also, the Welsh language is indeed ridiculous, as every location was a descriptor based on the surroundings. Like Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, which is a town. I used to know how to pronounce it, but that's something you forget without practice.
