I think youll be ok with the military, they're fighting as a british unit, after all. However if you get to know any of them personally you should probably find out what country their actually from, it certainly pisses me off when people hear my accent and simply declare me "british" and never ask where I actually am from. For the most part however, peeps will simply not let it get to them. But its kinda like assuming a canadian is american because of their accent. Which many can take as racism. Its a strange gray area, the whole british thing, most people are too polite to say anythiny, if their even bothered. I however will be correcting all of you when you tell people im british when i.come see you. I'm English.
