Thanks for the welcome! Are you a proud PS3 owner as well? We should exchange PSN screen names!

My cohort (who goes by the name Dr. Egg in these parts) and I accidentally drove through Iowa on our way to Minnesota last summer to film a documentary, and it was the most interesting part of the drive on our 8 state excursion. We stopped at a Wal*Mart that was literally in the middle of a corn field, hit on some girl who would have been WAY out of my league in New York but talked to me BECAUSE I was from New York, and then stuffed ourselves silly at the Iowa Machine Shed. It was the most memorable part of the 1200 mile road trip.

Oh, and if you'd like to see video evidence of said road trip, well than WAM-PAZOW!

So that was fun to watch for several reasons... One being that I live here in Iowa now, another being that I am from St. Paul, and a final one being that I have lived in Wisconsin. I will say Wisconsin is more scenic than Iowa, but I do think everyone needs to experience driving through Iowa at least once. It evens you out. Or something? :) Glad you enjoyed the midwest. It's pretty nice in its own little way.

Hahaha I know the feeling... I love my PS3, though. And no one come between us.
Do let me know when you get one. If you're a GH player I'd be more than happy to kick your ass online ;)

hah, i may have had to sell my guitar hero warez for bill money...and maybe i haven't been in the loop since guitar hero 3...but i bet i still have the skills to whoop your ass. unfortunately, said skills weren't paying the bills, so the games and guitars had to.

That sounds like a challenge, my friend. To which I say... when you get your PS3.... bring it.

I was just like you when I first got Rock Band. So excited, so quick to dismiss Guitar Hero. But it wears off. I still like it, mind you (played it for a few hours last night with some friends actually), but I think GH kicks its ass.

I worked as a tech (non certified) for a few years and have come to the conclusion that you all do way too much work for too little pay. When I have a practice, my techs will be treated like gods/goddesses!

Um, yes pls?!? Open it here where people will spend the cash for the treatment. ;)

That sounds amazing. I'm there. I was thinking of practicing on the east coast all along, actually. I definitely want to practice somewhere where people view pets as family and will spend money to help them.

Does the practice where you work see exotics at all? I plan on doing a lot of exotics (particularly birds, hence the SN... though I'm sure no one gets the reference). I'm wondering what the market is like out that way for exotic vets. Insight?

Hello everyone,

Long time fan of the studio, but just now found the forums due to the podcast.

Not really sure what to say other than I am a 28 year old dude in Charlotte who plays games, reads a lot and rides a motorcycle.

I also own a PS3 (and a PSP, DS, & 360) and absolutely love it despite the apparent hate for it here. I actually have two PSP's; one fat PSP (hacked) and one slim PSP. The fat one is synced with my PS3 for remote play as that is the one I have on me most often.

My tag for both PSN and XBL is Jakanden so feel free to send me an invite.

Hey hey!

I am Horsewnoname, aka Katie. I'm 26 and dwelling in the greater outreaches of middle-of-nowhere Pennsylvania. I did attend college just south of Erie and by accident wandered into Fredonia while on a crazy road trip. At the time though I didn't know of X-strike, so I didn't get to epically geek out.

I'm just your generic geek. I did just get a shiny new red Nintendo DS. I must say I can't quite put "The World Ends With You" down yet. I'm also eagerly awaiting the release of the Final Fantasy 4 remake in July ^_^

Other than that, I must say I love X-strike! The addition of the pod casts really helps me cruise through my work day. The Darkwing Duck references almost had me on the floor laughing ^_^
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.
