Yeah, I'm really interested to see how that whole "anybody could be dead" thing will play out. I'm the only person I know who made it out with everybody intact so who knows.

I actually made it through the end of ME2 with everybody alive as well. For some reason though, ME3 didn't remember that I nailed Miranda in ME2. Ah well.
I'm one of those guys who never really played ME1 though. I couldn't get into it the first time I played it because I hated shooters at the time. With this gen I started playing more and more shooters and eventually wanted to try it again, but it just didn't engage me like I wanted it to. Everybody said it was this amazing RPG, but I just don't see it as an RPG. It's a third person shooter with RPG elements.
But yeah. Beat ME2, but never did ME1. Maybe after I beat the third game I'll go back and replay the entire trilogy. See how the games change with different outcomes. I'll make sure Ashley dies this time.

It's official. Mass Effect is currently vying for "Best VG Series" in my head. While I love Silent Hill, Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid dearly, they all have stinkers in their pantheon. Mass Effect delivered three exceptionally solid rpg experiences and a story that has literally influenced the way I see the world. "Best RPG series" maybe, "best trilogy" for sure. I am super excited to play it over again from the begining and see what else happens in this universe.
