CIrcuit City game sale

Postby FPStanley on Thu Jul 06, 2006 12:47 pm

I'm not sure if anyone here reads CheapAssGamer.com but here's a link to a list of games being sold for $8.96 + tax at Circuit City (sale officially started July 4th):

http://community.livejournal.com/girl_gamers/2453166.html?#cutid1

I nabbed Trace Memory and Guilty Gear DS (for this price, the game is awesome) for $9.50 a piece.

An in somewhat related news, Best Buy has Drill Dozer for $9.99 (pretty good side scroller if you can get past the painfully cute graphics).

Our Circuit Citys were pretty much devoid of anything worthwhile. I may have to follow up on the Drill Dozer 10 dolla report though.
I'm out like the gout.

The Best Buy near me had about 10 copies suprisingly. Looking back, I probably should bought them all and sold them on Ebay.

Apparently the "start July 4th" went into their systems as "start June 20-something".

My haul:
Eyetoy
SSX On Tour (not sure that's even worth $9)
FF I & II: Dawn of Souls
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Pitfall: The Lost Expedition
FF IV (was still $20 in their system)

FFIV was reported on sale for $8.96 by mistake. There inventory/pricing system is pretty fucked though. I went to 2 stores and one it came up as $20 and at the other $30, odd.

I scored some good stuff.

FF Tactics advance
Sigma Star Saga
Burnout Revenge
Wild Arms 3 & 4

for 8.95, you can't go wrong.
You'll never see a sale like that at GameDon't

Yeah Circuit City might be absolute shit in terms of selection, but there have been a few occasions i found some good titles in their bargain bin.

-Gungrave Overdose
-Wild Arms 3
-Viewtiful Joe

All were new and 10 bucks each. Strangely enough, these were the only times I ever bought anything from that store.

>And I would have nabbed the DS Guilty Gear the last time I went there if it weren't for the lack of online play

Circuit City in Union Square must either have sold out it's entire stock of cheap games, or this deal exists only to tease. All they had left when I got there today were a pile of crappy Xbox games.

Has anyone played Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers? Is it as good/better than Jump Superstars?
It's not a toy. It makes real cupcakes, with a 40 watt bulb, and there's icing packets. But the secret ingredient is love. Damn it.

Hey guys!

I've got a lazy packrat friend who's unloading.
Lazy = not on ebay
packrat = he's got a lot of 'crap' (another man's treasure)
friend = uh, yeah, duh
unloading = Here

In case anyone's interested, scroll down to get to the games. He's got all these Japanese systems too...

Stuff is selling and he's been keeping that list updated. It's the other forum that I frequent the most, so if you do want something, tell him you know me. (me = quarky/Steph) I woulda said something sooner, but I was on vacation having a lot of fun and didn't want to check the internet for anything, as it woulda taken away from my utter joy of the (extended even) weekend. ^_^;; I thought Red was gunna have my head for the little bit of work I did do!

Yeah dude, it's a forum like this one. Just PM him and tell him you know me. I'll let him know you're interested too. And maybe his paypal thang is working (unlike mine) and we all can do a major swap.

Or I can just talk to him tomara for you. ^_^

EDIT: mmk! I will!

Yeah def. Let him know I want those two if you're gonna see him. It's very rare that someone comes out with such a huge collection like that not on ebay.
