Ok so I accidentally got the evil ending which I didn't want and I also didn't know what to do with the key from Ostrava until I finished the game and it was too late.

Time for a new character! I am curious what the 'accident' was though.

I never even got the key from Ostrava. I never saw him after I saved him in 1-1. I know he's supposed to turn up again in 1-2 and 1-3 but I didn't run into him. What I assume is I came close enough to him to activate the event in 1-2 but because I didn't notice he ended up dying.

Killing the big blob thing. Apparently I have to do something else to get the white tendency sword because he drops the black tendency sword.

My second playthrough will wait for awhile. I had my fill for now (clocked in at 51 hours) and I have a bunch of other stuff to play in the coming weeks. I will definitely be going through it again though.

Huh. I killed him too but I'm pretty sure I got the Soulbrandt. I thought the ending was determined by whether or not you let the Maiden do her thing after that fight. Basically if you start new game plus and you have Maiden in Black soul, you got the good ending.

I will say my playthrough only lasted 31 hours, so I definitely have more demon slaying in me.

Yeah I got the Soulbrand, but that is the weapon that gets better with Black Tendency. I wanted the Demonbrand which is the one that gets better with White Tendency. I guess I got the good ending then after all.

Also - I started a New Game+ since I finally got my character developed enough to take on whatever comes up and know how to play him. So far, I am not having any problems with the difficulty but I am sure that will change.

EDIT - Breezed through all of world 2, the first two bosses of world 1 and the first boss of world 4. The game is much easier when you know what the hell you are doing =)

Now that the Deluxe Edition is officially out of print, the prices on eBay have officially started to skyrocket. Already upwards of $100 for the complete package, $30 for the Strategy Guide, $20 for the Artbook with CD and $10 for just the damn box.

So there was a problem with my original order... surprise surprise... so I had to reorder it through a seller on Amazon. Using a gift card, I only ended up spending 65 for the Deluxe, so yay to that. Hopefully, this game will arrive before ya'll finish a SECOND playthrough.

Spent all night tonight playing multiplayer. This game still fucking rocks after 70 hours and 2 playthroughs.

I'm still plugging away with my mage. I've cleared the first area in every world. I need to decide on a direction that I'm going to go with specing my equipment still though either way I expect to be beating up the grim reapers in 4-2 for a lot in the near future. And let me just express how annoyed I was that all the equipment I gained from doing the Pure White stuff in Boletarian Palace was pretty much worthless for my current character but would have been great for my first character. *sigh*

I spent all night leveling up my Intelligence and Faith last night so that I now am able to hold more spells/miracles. Poision Cloud and Rage of Gods are most awesome in both PvP and PvE. I also use Warding and Cursed Weapon (with the Meat Cleaver) quite often.

I also got the Ancient Armor drop of Old King Doran (Heavy armor without any negative stamina effects) last night which is awesome. I am now using that armour, a +4 Adjudicator's Shield and a I trade off between a +5 Dragon Sword, Lava Bow and Meat Cleaver.

I was really psyched about getting Northen Regalia after beating Old King Doran, but unfortunately, that sword isn't all that great and wasn't worth getting rid of both Demonbrand and Soulbrand for. Although, I am working on maxing out my character tendency so that might change once I have it maxed. I am still working on getting the Morion Blade, and the Blueblood Sword as well.

As far as my second playthrough, I only need to finish off a few more levels to beat the game so I can start my third playthrough. I will probably take a break though and pick it up in December when there isn't much else I will be playing.

You're still using the same character right? I think when I finish with my mage I'll go back to my original...or maybe start a heavy armor character...or a cleric. My intelligence is almost to the point where my spell slots are maxed out. My faith is pretty much nonexistant and I've been solely upgrading my magic. At the moment I have eyes on making a Crescent Kilij but I need to get a few more Sharpstones first. I'm using the Adjudicator's Shield but will switch in the Kris Blade to push my magic damage a bit further when necessary. I think my plan at the moment is to finish out the Tower of Latria which will get me the Phosphorescent Pole, and the Yellow Demon Soul which i need to make the Insanity Catalyst. From there it'll be off to the Darkmoonstone Grind.

Has your World Tendency ever changed without you doing anything? I had Stonefang Tunnel up to Pure White the other day but when I went back last night it was back to neutral

Yeah I am using the same character. I am still a heavy melee although I went light armour for this playthrough until I got the Ancient Armour which put me back to heavy. Right now I am sitting with most stats about even (28-30) save for Luck. I won't be putting anymore points into Faith as I have all the slots I want for that and I will spend the next set of levels working on Stamina and Vitality.

I haven't had my world Tendency change without some kind of action. There are times when I thought I did nothing, but when I looked up the causes of changes, I always did something.

Decoded, this means that you're going to get your ass kicked, as the game's difficulty will be increased temporarily.

The upside? The rewards for defeating said minions will also increase.
