Trannyformers 3

Seriously, anyone else watch/plan on watching this movie?

I think it sucks. I think it'll suck when I see it again tomorrow. Anyone else?

I am cynical enough to have read this review, and get the strong feeling I would agree quite a bit if I ended up seeing the film. Might be worth your read. yeah I know I read aintitcool a lot

That was a good read, thanks. After coming out of the theater today with a buddy, it amazed me that we agreed on almost every aspect of what was good or bad in the film, yet he loved it and I abhorred it.

Yeah, I just got back from seeing this myself. I'll say this, it's better than 2. It certainly has its flaws but I enjoyed it as a fun romp of giant robots blowing stuff up. Also, having fewer comic relief characters and including some moments that were actually funny helped. In my opinion it's not a must see but it doesn't need to be avoided like the plague either.

I still won't pay to see what looks like a giant steaming turd. I've seen the spoony one and the cinema snob talk about the film, spoilers and all. I've overheard my co-workers talk about it. What I get from them is that the scenes with the actual autobots are awesome, but it's only, what, 30 minutes of screen time? It's compounded by the fact there's 90 minutes of characters that no one cares about. If it's anything like bad boys 2, is that Bay is trying too hard to make a comedy AND a serious movie.

If someone can convince me otherwise, I may just try to download this film. That way, it only wastes my time, rather than my money.

If you're already assuming you won't like it than don't bother. The movie definitely has flaws. Some parts drag on too long or don't really serve a purpose, and Shia LaBeouf hasn't had a good reason to be in these movies since the first one (even that was pretty iffy). There are also plot holes big enough to drive... well... Optimus Prime through. If you can sit back and just enjoy giant robots shooting at each other and some not-terrible jokes than it can be fun, but it certainly isn't going to win anyone over if they're already assuming they'll dislike it. It's pretty much the definition of a 'Meh' movie. If you want to like it there are good scenes, and if you want to hate it there are plenty of reasons for that as well.
