Okay, so this would probably make a better short but...
It's a spoof of "Cloverfield," probably set in Buffalo, except instead of whatever the f**k that thing was in Cloverfield, it's a katamari ball picking things up. You could build tension as the katamari gets bigger and startes picking up people and houses and zoo animals and eventualy whoever is "filming". I don't know what to do about special effects, maybe you could just glue a bunch of shit together and roll it in front of the camera.

How about the OFF CAMPUS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL. In true CHRISTMAS SPECIAL form, it could have a central narrative with weird and sort of unrelated guest spots throughout. Ventriloquist acts, musical numbers, and plenty of holiday montages.
