Here Comes the Pain Royal Rumble short

Postby shadowdancer21b on Tue Apr 13, 2010 9:43 pm

I had fun watching this. The boob physics were really weird and noticable with the Ilana character. I wonder if she was flattered by that alter-ego? It truly did resemble her as Cindy from RCR, regardless! I liked the weirdness of some of the characters. Makes me want to dust off my N64 and video capture a royal rumble of my stable. Characters like "The Madness" Steve Whiteman (the Superheavyweight who thinks he's a cruiserweight), his brother Dementia, Rob Snow, Little Brother Heimdall (the cruiserweight who thinks he's a heavyweight), "The Enforcer" Jake Mullins, Blaize Fury, Shadowdancer (who looks nothing like me), The Scotch Psycho, Daniel Blood (Mr. No Submission holds) and his tagteam partner Rampage (created by my brother as a cruiserweight disciple of the Scotch Psycho), Psycho Ref, The Pink Nicey, Tetsu the Destroyer (7-foot amazon from Hell, who has made an appearance in every game since Wrestlemania 2000), Tetsu's ninja sidekick Aya Yamazaki, Fezzick, Beelzebub Van Satan ( a sharply-dressed businessman superheavyweight), the Fattlesnake (not as funny as WWF Attitude Fattlesnake), Hank Hill, and...umm, some Gangrel knockoff who looked like a Misfits fanboy. Can't remember his name.

You can't spell "Replay Value" without the words "create-a-character".
I don't want to talk about watchmen...

I think its fun and funny how much a persons imagination can run wild with a create a character in a wrestling game because you're not just making a guy, you're creating their whole backstory, fighting style, rivalries and storylines in your head.
I'm out like the gout.

YEAH! It's true TIm! I had stables and rivalries and shifting alliances and all that. Me and my brother and friends that is. We even made alter-egos of ourselves on a different memory card with manovers we were actually capable of doing rather than what would be more cool or powerful. We tried to make them as much like ourselves as possible. Right down to my and my other brother's overweightness. It was cool as hell. Our dudes were a faction unto themselves against our other fictional types and did reasonably well. "Stephen White" beat "The Madness" in a close-call 10-minute bout.

I just love the names "Beelzebub Van Satan" and "Fattlesnake".

Credit for those names goes to my friend Darnell. We named an alternate of Beelzebub Van Satan "Jesus El Savior". You could do that in WWF No Mercy, make a guy and make his alternate outfits a completely different-looking person with the same stats. I made a Street Fighter character who was alternately Ken, Ryu, Guile and E. Honda. The Fattlesnake was especially funny to watch oon WWF Attitude. All of Stone Cold's pauses in his intro got accompanied by laborious breathing in between our laughter. Man, I miss the Fattlesnake.

I kept rewinding the end of the one video to see the different styles of running because it was just so damn funny. I could not stop laughing.

"RWISE FROM YOUR GWAVE!"

I propose a whole wrestling month, with a new character created (with quick creation recap and commentary) shown each day during the month, with the big Royal Rumble taking place with all of the new characters created.

Future Xhibit Play, or GREATEST Xhibit Play?

Also: I want to watch the two Royal Rumble commentaries again. Can we get some video love?
