I love surprises. I am a huge metal gear fan. Anything that makes me think of MGS is instantly a favorite. Good luck.

Yeah, the curse of unavoidable X-strike DVD delays continues. Stay tuned to the front page for info on when the DVD is wrapped up.

And the exchange is:

Snake: You're a dick
Liquid: Because I shot a lady?
Snake: No...I wanted to do that

It seems you play only villains in all the movies. Will this ever change? Will you be the protagonist in any future movies?

Is there a complete cast list out somewhere?

Hell yes after this viewing. Rock out pacing flowed alot better than silent horror. My only negative comment is at the beggining there are 2 shots that are flopped in order to preserve continuity, I understand that, but did you have to pick the ones with noticable writing? There was another that was flopped but the only thing that was wrong was that jackals scratch on snakes face was on the wrong side. I thought that one was humorous. oh yeah in the future, white balance.

Once I get to the future I'll let you know the next time I play a protaginist

There isn't a complete cast list online yet. We may possibly throw one up in the future.

White balance has been noted. I catch a naughty shot with Revolver, but other than that I think it's clean on that front

and it may have just been the stereos in the williams center, but it felt like the music never died down to hear the dialogue/action, especially when Mensa Locust was talking. Granted the music was fantastic, but the whole presentation of the movie felt like a 2 hour long intro-cut scene.

Hey guys. I just wanted to say great job on Saturday. You were very professional and entertaining and the movie was instantly classic. I only wish you had been able to include a few more touches of Metal Gear, such as Snake's ever visible LIFE bar. My favorite part was as when Snake crouched, then laid down and crawled into the elevator. I must have done that ten times on accident in the game, so it was a great joke.

I also wish you were able to include Snake trying to open a door, then having to actually take the key card out of his pocket, and then the door flings open. Overall though it was a cute movie that pays tribute to a great game. On the production side of things though, white balance is huge. Also, my advice for future features would be to study things like the in-game camera angles and mimic that in your movie. For example, you could have put the camera up on a ladder to simulate the now iconic style of the MGS series. The high overhead shots would have helped sell the scene in a few places. Other than that, great job, and I can't wait to see your next projects.

I just want to say congratulations on a job well done. It was by far the best independent film i've seen. Scenes flowed, the action didn't spike and bring false climaxes and of course great blend of action and comedy. I'm not gonna bother with what i saw that could be improved because A.) its already been said, and B.) for what you had to work with you did exceptional. Keep up the good work, im looking forward to the next film coming out.

In game camera was actually looked at quite a bit by Darrin and myself when the production began. For various reasons we were unable to duplicate both cut scene and gameplay camera mechanics, the latter mostly being due to a lack of cranes, dollies, and false ceilings on set. A ladder probably would not have sufficed, as the iconic metal gear camera is not fixed in one place.

Shooting style was also hampered, due to simple lack of manpower, by not having a dedicated DP. Four different people behind the camera of varying degrees of experience make it a lot more difficult to faithfully emulate someone elses work. This is actually something being addressed in future productions, and i'm excited personally about applying in-game camera studies to Sidequest.

Out of curiousity, how many pre-orders do you have so far?
