eeehhh i would say g darius falls into the obscure zone. amazing game too. it has to be in the top 5 greatest shooters of all time. totally kicks "one handers" ass. and yes, i clearly remember the boast of "BIGGEST BOSSES IN A SHOOTER EVER!" whether that's true or not i'm not entirely sure...but goddamn if they aren't huge. tons of stages with multiple routes and bosses too. and i couldn't believe it, but the mall around here used to have the arcade cabinet of it. i must have pumped so much money into that thing before they eventually sold it off...it was a sad day when they took that one out.
fan obscure mention: SILENT BOMBER for psx. somebody, for the love of god, track this game down and play it. it's fucking amazing, and NOBODY played it. and that includes all of you nobodies that play all of these nobody games. a destined to be cult classic that never found its cult.
to steve, i believe you were referring to "the rapture." on that note, i'll most likely wait for the happening to appear on dvd. i too have a hit or miss relationship with m night. i loved the village. in fact, i was convinced that it was the best movie he had done...until the ending. the most horrible "twist" that you know is coming, but you refuse to believe is happening. i was sitting there just hoping that m night doesn't take a shit all over his film. but he does. and it's smeared all over. same thing with signs, but not nearly to that extreme.
and i for one am interested in the scanners remake. if you're not down with cronenberg you can gtfo.
i've already done the work of gathering the fans' thoughts on the length of the podcast through the power of assumption. it's unanimous...make them LONGER! you guys could talk about dirt and we'd be able to find time to listen to it before the next podcast comes out. just don't forcefully stretch it for the sake of stretching it. i don't think anybody would complain about more content.
