Heya everybody! The Sidequest documentary debuted at Magfest 7 this past weekend, and will be up in chunks on the site within the month. I'm bumping this thread back to the living to get any feedback from people that have seen it already, and to psyche everyone up for the release. So go at it! Woo! Comedy depression docu-sploitation!

I loved the doc, my favorite part were the editoral notes posted over the interveiwees. DOn't change those or the other quirky interjections and it'll stay perfect.

You might want to explain the rory was sick though, he didn't like it when I teased about him almost crying in the doc

I am looking forward to the episodes being posted online (Perhaps as video podcasts in iTunes?) as I missed the doc.

I, too, missed this. Too many places to be at the same time. I'm looking forward to it being up on the site.

I think it came together very well. Nice job, Juese.

My only suggestions were some music in certain places under the interviews and scenes, in order to evoke the mood you are going for.

Also, some transitions between chapters felt a little weird, but since it's being released in segments on the web, it might not be an issue.

Otherwise, I laughed through the whole damn thing. It was a depressing yet fun trip down memory lane, and Juese managed to cram 4-5 years of our lives into this doc. Ending was phenomenal. Can't wait to watch it on big screen with speakers again.

I can't wait to see it as I am also one of those that missed it. The Win Buffet one exit down was stealing my soul with it's yummy sushi.
