I'm currently listening to the soundtracks for the Namco Museum games because they happen to have some of my favorite music, various other video game music, and Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin.

I second that, I really dig the soundtrack. I hate the music for Yukiko's Castle and the Steamy Bathhouse though because I spent so much time there and it just got really repetitive. Persona 4 is a great game though, I really recommend it to anybody who hasn't played it or any of the other SMT games.

I've been checking out Gentle Giant, who are one of the most talented bands that you have never heard of. Each band member plays multiple instruments and they have become a new favorite of mine.

I'll also have to recommend a band called Brand X, which is basically Phil Collins' little project not many people are aware of.

I've started listening to Blind Guardian after finding out about them from the "Deathbone" trailer.

I'm trying to pick out good songs for my MAGfest video so I've been listening to Armcannon and the Megas. Think I got all my songs picked, but I just can't stop listening to them.

I have found when I am really tired I listen to a ton of Video game music/video game music remixes for some reason, so lately that is all I have been listening to.

Joanna Newsom has such a weird voice and I don't know what to make of it. I can't tell if she sounds like a young child with a speech impediment or an old lady. I know Andy Samberg would slug me one for talking smack about his girlfriend, but I don't totally hate her, ha ha. I just think she sounds weird. She's effing hot, though. And her harp skillz are on point.

I met some weird older folk. The kind of cool old weirdos you WANT to meet, y'know? The real hipsters. Guys with no fashion sense who know the shit out of some old music. We got together one night (youtube The Onion Band to get a load of the type of weirdo I'm talking about) and fucking jammed. We listened to some Teddy Pendergrass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHtV4INmNpw (That's some baby makin' music right the fuck there), old school break beats, something called Das Racist - Chicken and Meat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xmq9T0MZ_RQ I actually really liked that last one, ha ha. I fucking love bacon. We talked about old Bosco cartoons and Ren & Stimpy and Bakshi's Mighty Mouse. Dude knew his shit.

I think I'll be posting more nuggets of gold I get from these cats.
