I think I'm one of the few people who liked the New Years MAGFest. As a student, it was nice to have it over what was already a holiday. Plus, I could visit my mom as part of my Virginia trip and kill two birds with one BB gun. Now I get to fly up to VA for Christmas and then again a few weeks later!

Bitching aside, I will be there for suresies.

After my shameful inability to get to MAGFest last year I will definitely be in attendance for 9.

I'll be there, but maybe not for as long as I would like, because I will have already started teaching for the spring semester by that point (for some reason, our first day of classes is Jan. 3rd!) and probably won't be able to come until Friday afternoon. I was a fan of the NYE-era MAGFest, too, since now I have to travel back to Virginia twice within two weeks.

I also was pretty into the New Years MAGfest, for several reasons, not the least of which was free days off from work. MAGfest being later in the month also hurts my chances to get to Ohayocon.

Is any of this going to get me to stop going to MAgfest? Not on your life.

Well, the move killed Shayla from making it, though it still would've been iffy I think on NYE. Aside from that, I have the same days of the weekend off either date.

And no shit, I'm going to Magfest.

Not sure what's going on. I know for absolute certain they are axing some MAGfest vets to make room for new blood, both AC and MM (along with all the other bands) got an "apology in advance" email explaining as much. I heard some unconfirmed rumors that Armcannon will not be invited back, but Metroid Metal will. It's all speculation though.

We'll see what happens. It might be good (yet extremely dissapointing) if Armcannon took the year off to keep from being too stale over there.
