Go to August 2012. Looks like they're already expecting us.

It's only a few hours away from me. I have a tent, a sleeping bag, an excuse to consume mass amounts of alcohol, and will be fresh off a deployment. Count me in!

When before I couldn't attend because of family and work, now I can't attend because of family and no job income. I'll spare you the whining though.

In a drunken haze, I got to thinking about stuff I plan on bringing to MAGStock 2 after experiencing MAGStock 1. One of the best things would be copious amounts of good rope. That, and a few extra sturdy tarps. Mainly to fashion on-the-spot shelters for the campfire and people to crowd under instead of retreating to their own tents when it rained.

I'm hoping to get my hands on a military tent/canopy, as well as a proper campfire cooking surface, much like the MAGFest Chef Crew were rocking at their campsite.

Speaking of which, there have already been rumblings of a few contests/competitions/pissing matches/etc for the next MAGStock, One being a Campsite Cook-Off Battle Royale, where each "group" would submit their best camping dishes. The other being Most Awesome Campsite.

Anyone up for creating a survival horror-themed campsite? :D

The only thing I'm actually PLANNING to do there is eat, drink, and wear as little clothing as possible. Beyond that I'm on vacation and desire to make no plans beyond that.

I am pretty psyched for this. It will be nice to be camping for once where I didn't have to backpack with 60lbs of gear up a mountain in single digit weather :)

http://winegourmet.biz/my-beers/keg-list/

Local outfit here in Roanoke has a pretty nice selection of kegs. I'm thinking we should get a full keg of something. Anyone else up for this?

I know it's a long way's off, but I want to nail down plans for this now.

I would go in on that if you can find enough people to make it cost effective, but I refuse to pay for half of a keg that will get party raped if its just the two of us.

Hmm...do we bring alcohol and food, or just alcohol and alcohol?

we had an unbelievable amount of food last year, and we weren't even one of the sites with 'lots of food'. Im not sure if we possibly could have had more alcohal.
