Check your shops. I could be wrong but it looks like any mission critical items you miss will turn up for sale.

Also, I love how you can do all of your shopping from the Normandy. In my opinion the markup is such a minor trade off for the convenience of not having to return to the Citadel and hit up every shop for new gear.

The Curing the Genophage quest might be my favorite quest in any Bioware game ever. Epic scope, tense moments, hilarious dialog, amazing cut-scenes and a fine farewell to one of my favorite characters. it has it all.

100% agreement. That mission has been building since Mass Effect 1 and it did not disappoint on any level.

The sad thing is, that mission is not even an option if you made certain choices in earlier games so some people will never see it.

It also goes to show the sheer scope of this game. On every single mission I am thinking "How would this have been different if I had made this choice?" or "What if this character didn't make it, what would have happened?". The only character I lost is Tali so I get to see most things (I looked up her quests online to see what I missed), but if people had done things like kill Wrex or had a lot of people die in the suicide mission, how different is this game.

Not even an option? That's fucking insane. I figured that at least would still happen with some of the players swapped around.

If you killed Wrex, destroyed the cure data and had Mordin die in the suicide mission, I don't see how it could be available (spoilers due to revealing the ME3 quest) as at the very least, Mordin would be necessary for the quest to be viable.

On an unrelated note - for those who had a romance with Liara in the first one, how does she act around you in ME3? I went with Ashley and then killed her so Liara is just a close friend in ME3. I am curious if the relationship angle comes back.

It does. I dissed her though because my heart belongs to Tali. My Shepard's heart. Yeah, that's what I meant.

Damn - they even brought back characters which you only had one sidequest with them. I am running into people left and right.

I like a lot of the little touches they added. Like having to approve requisitions or prisoner pardons using your authority as a Specter, and dropping in on conversations between party members that have nothing to do with you (which are often hilarious and involve Garrus).

Yeah, that mission was all around pretty awesome. Most importantly it provides setup down the road for my favorite joke in the thus far in the game.

So far the most seriously crushing moment for me was discovering that Kelly Chambers had been shot in the face during the Citadel coup by Cerberus agents. I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't overheard a conversation when I went back to that area later.

Oh, did anyone else lose out on any missions because they waited too long. I did the Tuchanka stuff, then got sucked into the Citadel attack by Cerberus by accident. Afterwards I was all set to finally go to do the Grissom academy mission, but Traynor was just look "oh, by the way the Reapers hit Elysium and everyone there is dead. Sorry." I spent the rest of my night targeting Cerberus as payback for wasting my time.

Yea, specifically the Citadel Attack is a cutoff point for a bunch of side missions. I only lost a handful of Citadel quests that involved finding some random thing out in the galaxy but missing out on Grissom Academy is a blower.

Yeah I lost a few missions as well, but nothing serious.

I have an old, pre-boulean save. I'm still debating sacrificing 4 hours of progress to correct this mistake.

Finished Mass Effect 3 over the weekend. 26 hours total, best ending on first try.

I am disappoint, BioWare. Save for future DLC, I have absolutely no interest in playing Mass Effect 3 after this. "Best" ending my ass.

I am at 27 hours and I just saved the Quarians. I am guessing I am nearing the end. My war readiness is somewhere in the low 5000's.
