Slight minor crapfest: Had a 750GB Hard Drive die in my main rig, and that happened to be where I stored all of my Dropbox files. Long story short, everything got deleted from Dropbox, including the entire library of X-Strike podcasts.

Fortunately, I keep backups, and I am in the process of re-uploading all 9.14 GB of it.

I'll post the updated archive link when it's ready.

Un-official X-Strike Studios Podcast Archive

Discovered Retrocast episodes #2, and #7 through #10 in the middle of all of this mess. Added those in as well.

I can't believe we have more podcasts than I can fit on my damn iPod. If I ever leave Buffalo these are going to be an amazing way to combat homesickness.

Just caught the podcast last night. Good stuff as always. A note about Philosoma: It's one of the big box games. I might bring my copy when I come up to Buffalo so you guys can check it out. Also it's very strange that there isn't a Superplay, nor is there a Let's Play of it anywhere last time I checked. I should really record that game, and hopefully be able to beat it.

Huh, I could have sworn that Muramasa had average reviews besides the other things I mentioned. The GameRankings percentage is 81.94% so either I misremembered or only came across the poorer ones.

Dave: The Witcher is the next RPG I intend to play after finishing Mass Effect. I've had it on Steam for 2 years now on the recommendation of a friend but haven't started it.

Whoever has the window open during the podcast needs to close it. We got to hear cars driving by for 2 hours and often it was loud enough to make what you were saying dificult to hear. 8)

At the very least, make jokes about Dave being in the middle of the street during the podcast like you did before :D

Sigh, my apologies, everyone. It was ungodly hot this weekend, so my options were either record with the window open and risk road noise, or record with the A/C constantly droning. If the heat wave persists, I'll try some alternatives when we record the next one. Feedback appreciated!

Dear god, I died laughing listening to Ben's list for Dave. I have indeed seen one of the fine movies listed there and it's quite humorous. I'm very tempted now to make my own top ten list, but that would be really really hard to narrow down...

Yeah, that guy did shitty it up.

But in all seriousness, I feel like this was one of my worst podcast I've done for you guys. Granted, causing Rory to storm off was really funny. However, I don't know how to articulate how frustrating it is to listen to myself stammer, go off course, put in random breaks in speech, and all around just sound bad. Have you guys ran into this sort of stuff listening to yourselves starting out?

Also, have you guys done a top 3 Fighting Games question yet? I think you should, to celebrate me taking the plunge to compete in EVO. Even ordered those X-Strike shirts, just in case I get on stream. Easy money!

I don't think anyone listens to the old podcasts except me. I haven't listened to all of them but I've listened to some. In the early days I definitely used the word 'like' way too fucking much. It's not something that you're really conscious of at the time but when you listen to it back, it drives you nuts. I think working on the podcast has made me a much better speaker overall because I have to force myself to get words out with as little humming and hawing as possible. It can be tough, definitely not as easy as one might think.
