I'm so glad they finally have a real trailer now. Some douchebag released a fake one for the longest time where he just animated clips from the second movie, making Spiderman's uniform black to make it look like the symbiote suit.

I enjoyed the first film, but the second one gave me stomach ulcers... especially with the blatently obvious Christian symbolism/propaganda in the train scene. I nearly fell out of my seat.

I'll definitely be seeing this one though.

I've been scared of that as well, but I think the hierarchy of villains will help a lot. Goblin as your main lurking threat, Sandman as your upfront but managable villain, and venom should be built up for #4 my god.

So, is the costume all black? Or black with white webbing? It's hard to tell. It looks one way in some scenes and another in others.

I know the movie's gonna' be awesome. My only concern was the costume. I was just hoping they'd switch it up a big more. I really didn't dig that the costume was the same as the red n' blue one, only black. Seemed boring to me, I dunno. But I did notice the logo is alot bigger now, which helps. I think the spider symbol looks alot better now. And if it's white, that would be cool too.

It does look better in the trailer, though.

Honestly, even Topher Grace as Venom doesn't bug me at all. I'm sure Raimi will make it work.

I saw this trailer at the Superman Returns movie tonight. It looks impressive. Since I never really read the comics I can say that it looks neat and all. I like how they go to the moral questions of realizing evil within.

On the whole I think it looks to be pretty good. But a small teaser/trailer only says so much.

In Spiderman 2 Mary Janes boyfriend is an astronaut and was going into space. I recognized that as a perfect setup.

Ha, I found the Venum saga of the Spiderman cartoon in my pile of DVDs last night. I'll have to watch that until the movie comes out.

The fact that the costume is my only concern should show I have loads of faith in Sam Raimi. I'm probably one of the few who really liked Spidey 2, though. My only gripe with that one was Parker was a tad emo in that one. I mean, there's hardly a scene where someone isn't crying somewhere. But, other than that, I really really enjoyed Spidey 2.

Spidey 3 is going to be awesome. I'm sure they'll figure a way to make the symbiote work without shitting all over everything. I'm trying to remember how the symbiote shows up in Ultimate Spidey... um... Oh yeah, Parker and Brock's dads were scientists and they made it and kept it locked away 'cuz it kinda' didn't work the way they wanted it to or something. I know it sounds gay, but if you read it, it's not really that bad. (I'm not saying they'll use that, but it's an option).

It looks like Parker's going for a total Jack White kinda' dark Damien evil look in this one, heh. I'd guess the symbiote turns Pete into a badass dickface agressive jerk and makes him all hardcore before he realizes it's turning him into a monster. Did you catch the darker emo hair and clothes while he's dancing with Gwen Stacey?

And I've seen plenty of ways they can make the multiple villains work. Someone mentioned something about Sandman being the main villain in the movie, Goblin II not showing up 'till way later in the movie once Harry turns to the dark side, Brock having a really bad day in the background with Venom showing up toward the end of the movie which will make a really good "Previously on SPIDER-MAN..." for the next movie.
