I was all like 'yeah, I'll get home and post about the DC while everyone's fighting over the Jaguar or whatever,' but apparently...yeah. DC's high resolution and expansive library still make it a winner. I'll go on record and being the only person that likes the Dreamcast controller, a lot even.

I'll tell you one thing I appreciate Dreamcast for: Sonic Adventure. A perfect example of a solid 2D to 3D transition of a game. I would say it rivals Mario 64 in this aspect.

I think I'm going to have to go with the good old Dreamcast. Never has a system been so underserving of the fate that it got. Dreamcast was packed with great software out of the gate and is still the only place to find a lot of great games. To think if the Japanese market had gotten behind it more we might have just seen the DC die out last year and be playing a new Sega system right now. Crazy shizz.

Chiming in on the Dreamcast Train.
Bangai-O.
Jet Set Radio (mentioned already I know).
Space Channel 5.
Samba de Amigo.

The list is really endless.

I really with those little VMU systems picked up when I owned the Dreamcast...it almost seemed like a waste of money.
It's not a toy. It makes real cupcakes, with a 40 watt bulb, and there's icing packets. But the secret ingredient is love. Damn it.

i'm suprised that no one has mention powerstone yet? I mean there are times when i like that more than smash brothers. it also had a much harder arcade mode than smash did, and you could do that multiplayer.

Powerstone rules, and I'm jealous of the PSP getting that fucking collection. Does anyone know if the characters and/or stages are interchangeable on that version?

Ugh, Sonic Adventure II . . . .ooohfh....Sonic Shuffle .. . PA-UKE!

Honestly, I was so saddened by SA2's lack of fun and multitudes of annoying new characters that I haven't been able to play another new Sonic title since. Since Sonic Heroes is the only one thus far, .. wait, there was that 'Shadow' title. . . he DID have a gun...

Yeah Sonic has been sucking lately. I'd say that the Shadow game contributed greatly to this suckitude. And let's not forget Sonic Heroes, with the worst controls and mindless gameplay i've ever seen in a Sonic game. The whole series has been meandering from "edgy and cool" to "hopelessly pathetic." Apparently, Sonic isn't edgy enough anymore so they need to make a new character who is even more badass. He has rocket shoes (that's right, he's so badass he doesn't even have to run) and a full-automatic submachine gun. "Yeah, it'll be like Sonic meets GTA! That'll be so HIP! The kids will love it!"

More reason to kick it back to original Sonic Adventure or even better, Sonic 3 :D

Sonic Shuffle was a mess but I thought Sonic Adventure 2 was only completely unbearable about a 3rd of the time. The Sonic and Shadow stages were awesome and how they should be doing all 3D sonic games.
