Happy Birthday Kevin!

I got my copy as well... about to go show it off to my boyfriend (who has seen RCR, SH, and loved them both, of course) and his friends... Chris is super excited because he's a pretty big Metal Gear fan. I wasn't going to see him tonight, but after I told him that I received my DVD in the mail today, he was like, "can you come over so we can watch it?"... hahaha.

Best thing that's happened to me all day, besides getting to eat Mallomars.

Miss you guys! <3 thanks for a kickass "thank you" note... I'll have to scan it later to show everyone, 'cause it's funny as hell.

-love muchly,

Superb performance once again from the X-Strike team. Nice job! I was also one of the people who did get a poster and the "thank you" note. By the way did everyone get the same page of the script on the back of the note or all they all different? Once again nice job!

Everyone got a different page of the ACTUAL script (well almost everyone, we didn't have a page of script for each preorder). Some people will even find script notes or storyboards on their thank you notes.
I'm out like the gout.

Since I had it ship to my home address rather than up where I am at college, I won't see it until I get back Friday. The upshot of this? It means that as soon as I get back, I will be able to take hostage of a friend of mine's home theater system and allow the night of 1000 festivities* to commence!

* 999 of the festivities may or may not be present. If soda and alcoholic beverages count, then at least we have plural festivities!

Yeah, I almost threw it out! I saw the order confirmation sheet and went to chuck it, then noticed there was another sheet attached to it.

Now that I've finally recovered after laughing so hard (and drinking quite a bit) I must say this is one "most-awesome" DVD

The special touch of including a page of the actual script with pre-orders ruled. I was about to throw the order sheet away myself as well.

The two easter eggs I have found are abso-fuckin'-lutely ho-larious! (No spoilers here, folks!)

Watched with the production commentary on as well, still haven't watched with Director's commentary yet.

Will this get up to the 100+ viewings that Silent Horror has for me? Time will tell...

Liam, I will probably be headed to Fredonia Saturday. I'll see if I can snag a few copies for the cast members down yonder-hood.

Man...I got my copy last night and ditched all that I had to do to watch it. Absolutely amazing work guys, add my voice to the chorus of praise! I loved all the amazing touches, from the pre-order script note to the hilarious outtakes to the music mini-feature (something I've always been very interested in learning more about). The film itself is something to be extremely proud of, just like SH and RCR...it actually made me nostalgic for MGS.

I'm off to have surgery tomorrow morning on my knee, I'm itching to watch the movie again along with both commentaries!

edit: ahh fuck it, I can sleep tomorrow when I'm on morphine, I'm watching it again now!
