Plot Outline:
Gale Windthrop (Darrin Demarco), a boy on the virge of inheriting the most powerful corporation in Midgardia, gets a rude awakening when he discovers his father Duncan (Cory Golabek), president of said company, EnviroSafe, has been killing off the countryside. Gale must travel the world with his new mysterious friend Dreamer (Rachel Hoff) assembling a ragtag party of miscreants, including monks (Meredith Schichtel), mechanical marvels (Steve Smith) and the supernatural (Melissa Mackey), while dueling his bard rival (Liam O'Boyle), all in the hopes of stopping EnviroSafe from destroying the world. Sidequest is a loving spoof of the RPG genre, playing off classic RPG series (Final Fantasy, Chrono, Dragon Warrior, Tales), touching on the new (KOTOR, Fable, Jade Empire), and maybe even a little Earthbound while still remaining a completely original piece from X-Strike Studios with an original score by Dale North.
